MTACC Spring Evaluation/Recital – New Format

This is a non-competitive adjudicated event with recitals held throughout the day as scheduled.

School-age students (elementary through high school) will perform two pieces from different time periods from memory.  The exception to this is that music which corresponds in level to that found on the Sonatina/Sonata Festival repertoire list levels 1 and 2 need be contrasting in style only, not necessarily in period.  Students must provide copies of original music to the judges for adjudication.  Performance is limited to 10 minutes per student.

Students will be grouped according to age and will perform in a recital setting.  Judges will provide an adjudication for each student.  Students will receive a certificate and an adjudication sheet from their individual teachers after the event.

All teachers with participating students will be expected to volunteer at this event as needed.
